Got something to discuss about RL in general? Then this is the place to post it.

Is Ron Hoofe on the disciplinary board. Saints are angels. Leeds get charged.

At least Bailey quite rightly didn't get charged for that (legal) hit on Fa'asavalu. Robbie Paul on the SL show seemed to think it was illegal (as did all the Saints fans, of course!).

On a side note, I always used to think Leeds fans were the worst for shouting "forward" with every pass, but the Saints lot ran them pretty close in that game!

Likewise. Apparently Potter kicked up a huge fuss and they were trying to claim it was an attack to the head. I think the judiciary knocked that back by saying Mary was laning/bending down/forwards and/or falling into the tackle.

It was a great hit... perfectly acceptable in league but iirc Sonny Bill got sent off for a very similar challenge early on in his union career so the rules must be different? Maybe the whinging saints fans have been watching too much rah rah?

Yes shoulder charges are illegal in Union. You have to use your arms for a legal tackle. Funny one. Gary Conolly and Jason Robinon had a stint at Bath IIRC Anyhow this big prop got clear and headed for Gary who just shoulder charged him and he dropped like a bag of .... His face afterwards was a picture, what happened? who? how?

That reminded me of a scene from Police Squad involving a player being knocked down in a boxing match boxing match...

"How many fingers am I holding up?"
"Thursday"
