Wigan to sign Gleeson?

Rumour going round,that we are to sign Martin Gleeson on a 4 year deal.Surely not.Anyone heard owt?

That's one of the least likely rumours I've heard in a good while.

True apparently with Mathers and Smith or Goulding going to Wire.

I really hope it's true for Goulding's sake, he, like many others will not progress under the current coaching setup at Wigan.

Goulding may not be the one to go.
Some rumours are saying Mathers and Goulding but others are saying Mathers and Smith.
Personally I would prefer the latter as Goulding is a local lad with a better attitude.
We will know on Tuesday as I think both clubs would want it sorted before the players are cup tied.

It was spreading around Orrell like wildfire.
Yeah, but that doesn't make it any more true. A 4-year deal? He's nearly 29 now. I could maybe believe 2 years but not 4.
It would be a great piece of business if we could offload Mathers & Smith for him, but I don't think even Wire would be that stupid, despite the problems they're having with Briers!

I thought Wire were releasing him 1 year early from his Wire contract so that he could go to Oz to play in the NRL?!?!?! Would Gleeson choose Wigan over Oz?

I sincerely hope this is true . Gleeson is a classy centre who gets his winger away .
Anyway what have Wires done wrong to get Mathers and Smith .
With a bit of luck they may also take Noble ! with Tony Smith coming here .
Anyway we can always hope .
