What did people think? How did he contribute to our awful effort?

What aweful effort would that be. Please rephrase so the question can be answered. At the moment the question is like that old chesnut, Answer yes or no, Have you stopped beating your wife yet? Cant answer the first part without acknowledging the second,

If anything, I thought he was better than many of the full-time refs we have to put up with.

I didn't think he was to bad, think the last 5 minutes or so he lent in their favour a bit to stop the scorline getting to harsh. Didn't see much wrong with Tompkins try towards the end.

saw a lot wrong with Karl Pryce at the end though
