Do you think this could be called into question? Obvious thing considering their ages, to say but there's only S. Tomkins and S. Ainscough, who looked still full of running tonight come the last 20/15 minutes of tonight's game.
Are those two player's fitness levels higher than most of the other players in this team? If the answer is yes, then I would be worried.

easter period is always hard as it's two games in almost as many days, but no excuses, fitness of the team did look awful after 50 minutes. i wouldn't go as far to say tomkins and ainscoughs fitness levels are superior, but something is wrong somwhere.

Could you answer me this one please psycho?

I know it is Easter and everything else, but I just wanted to ask the above question, hence the reason for starting this thread.

to be honest, they are professional athletes and should be prepared for things like this. but i think the physicla dominance of the french pack tonight is what tired alot of the team out, that paired with the fact some ARE unfit and the team as a whole put a big effort in last thursday against saints.

Awful and something I have alluded to previously.
Pryce has had months. Feka too and many more players. I see no improvement. Wayne Bennett has one pre season at St George and players look completely different, kilos shed etc.

As I say, Ainscough and Tomkins are just typical 19 year olds, they are just never out of running. I take it psycho from what you say that they are just normal athletes, and just more lively than the rest of the team, I don't know.

no i mean, yes they are all rugby players but they are all proffesional athletes who have plenty time in the off season to get in shape and get fitness together, maybe less christmas turkey and more laps round the training field.

Maybe not for Tomkins or Ainscough as they are fit enough all ready and seem to be the ideal weight, although someone has said to me that Ainscough doesn't look big enough or heavy enough for a winger, to which I replied, "But he's quick enough".
Preferably the JJB pitch, it is bigger than the Orrell one, or if not the JJB pitch, then just make them do twice as many around the Orrell pitch.

To be fair it's their second game in a week. Warrington and Castleford were both shattered by half time in their game today so it's not just Wigan.
