Got something to discuss about RL in general? Then this is the place to post it.

Wakefield's Ground

Post by south_stander »

First time I've ever been to Wakefield yesterday and couldn't help to feel sorry for the likes of Leigh who have worked hard to get a new stadium in an attempt to get a franchise yet the RFL class that dump suitable for SL!!

I know there were other boxes that needed to be ticked to gain a franchise but with such a poor "stadium" Wakefield must have been very lucky to gain one!!

Just glad some local sold me 2 tickets outside for a tenner apeice!!

To be fair they do have NEW plans for a new ground after the original plan collapsed but I do agree. It irks that clubs like Wakey, Saints charge what they do for entrance to sheds/scrap yards.

Exactly I dont know how they can justify the £18 entrance fee!! I heard they had plans for a new ground, I think they really need to put them into action in the next 18months or they could seriously face losing out on a franchise when it comes around again!!

For a top club Stains ground is a disgrace!!

Salford, St Helens, Castleford or Wakefield. Who'll be first to get into their proposed new stadiums ?

Its their own fault for giving the free tickets out in the first place..... If given the choice would you pay £10 or £18?????

The man I bought them off was a season ticket holder ,but was given a pair of free tickets, because his son was playing in the kids game that was taking place before kick off. So he sold them on because they were spare!! Its not like I gave the turnstile operator a sneaky little backhander to let me in cheap is it!!
