Welcome!
take a look at http://www.rfl.uk.com for some useful beginners info on the game. (nearly as good as this site!)
Are you in the wigan area? Get along to a game, you'll soon pick up the idea from the fans trying to teach the ref the rules!

So you're gonna more or less follow this pattern of positioning.

1 = Full back
2= Left winger
3= Right Centre
4= Left centre
5= Right winger
6= Stand off
7= Scrum half
8= prop
9=hooker
10=prop
11= second row
12= second row
13=loose fwd

Although there's a lot of change in our team right now, like Hodgy being at number 4 but playing on the wing and Aspi at 3 but also playing on the wing sometimes. Thats the general order of play though.

Me too! In the "hen pen" at Central park!
Somebody has to point out to Russell that Lammy's been flattened again, Brett's just copped another high shot, and they've never been onside all game! And that was a mile forward!

in general league is faster, quicker ball play & all round more enjoyable to watch.. non of this stop start crap that union has, and the whole work your wotsits off, get the ball & kick it back to the opposition.. strange rules that..
plus u don`t usually and up with ears like cauliflower florets..lol

& i would love to see some of these union forwards play our code.. they would be out on there feet after 10 mins.. however i am curious to know if aussie scrum half george gregan has played league?? cos i think he would do really well he is a good general out there.. don`t see him do much kicking though...?? what y`all think bout that situation??

I like Gregan, think he would be a good league player,but i think quite a few aussies will have done a bit of both codes.
I agree that a lot of union players would struggle for fitness in league and not just the forwards.
O'driscoll would have been a good convert as well to league.
