Fozzard - raising Knees in tackle?

Post by thomo »

Don't know if this has been raised anywhere else but check out fridays game - around 24th minute Fozzard drives the balls in and I am sure he raises his knee going into the tackle - yet no one spotted this - surely this is as bad a Fielden's?

Anyone else spot this?

that dirty ba---rd has always used his elbows and knees in the tackle and he must have worn that heavy strapping on his arm for 10 years so he can batter the opposition with it.

  With his arm padding, I always imagined it full of horseshoes and metal, like boxers had in their gloves Beano-style.

I did take some satisfaction when Crabtree hammered him shortly after.

The irony is that Fozzard wears such big padding because he used to break that arm quite frequently when swinging it high at opponents. Every time he missed the front of their face and connected with the top of their head it broke.

The point being missed here is that, unlike any Warriors player, you need to prove intent in his action and this has never been accepted within the D C review. ie no case to answer.

Morley has got away with countless high tackles this season; so I don't see why they would ban him for a trip.

Fozzard has always used his forearm illegally as well as raising his knees. Interesting that the RFL have continued to ignore it - even though he no longer plays for stains...

Frano: I don't know why I would ever want to go to St Helens or Leeds

International calls always = a blind eye by the judiciary. I was very impressed that players were banned for this seasons ANZAC test. It never happens here though.
