Great news.
The aim for the next five year should be to build the team around him.
Starting with a long term deal for Mike Mc. They have a good combination. The back bone of a team is made up by 4 main player 1,7,9 and 13. We need four player that will play 5 years together. This is the secret behind saint success and Leeds recently. The next move would be a good young talented full back. I think Phelps goes better at full back then Pat. We need to treat him as a full back specialist thou and give him time in that position if we think it can work out.

Best news of the year so far! Another indication that Nobby's on his way out?
Head Coach Brian Noble commented,
"Sam is a really talented played with a magnificent attitude. I have been really pleased with his form in 2009. If he continues to progress in the manner he has shown so far I am sure he will be a key player for Wigan for many years to come."
Does he watch any of the Warriors games? Sam's already more of a key player than either TL or TS.
Contrast what Nobby says with what Lenagan says:
"He is a wonderfully gifted young player who has progressed through our Academy and Reserve side over the past couple of seasons and has now become a regular member of our first team squad.
"Since making his five-try debut against Whitehaven in the Cup last season, he is a player who has proved himself at Super League level and I'm sure he will go on to win caps at International level.
