"Deacon, who is from Wigan and still lives in the town, fits into the policy of the Warriors chairman Ian Lenagan of bringing successful local products back to the club"
what policy is this?
so we're bringing in sean long, terry newton and half of super league?

Deacon to Wigan, Matt Orford to Bradford...I wonder who is getting the better deal there.
I'm all for making sure the best Wigan players stay at Wigan but Deacon is well past his best and even at his best he wasn't that good.

Deacon would be a clever signing if the reports on skysports website are correct. he will give experienced cover at halfback which would allow tl to play at hooker if needed, he has a decent passing and kicking game and if he is going to be given a coaching role aswell he wont take up much of the salary cap
