Why depart from a well established practice and blame it on rugby?

From years ago I have this vague memory of under-soil heating not working rather conveniently when it suited a team not to play a game due to injuries or some such. Can't remember who it was but there was widespread cynicism at the time that it was just too convenient for it to fail when it did.

I wonder if this charge could be laid this time!

Slightly OT but Liverpool called off their game at the weekend citing the local roads and access areas as dangerous. Luckily, the club did offer Stadium tours on the cancellation.

Simple fact being, if you are moaning about it being slippy, don't go!

There is a practical point in that the surrounding streets, car-parking etc. don't get de-iced and sadly people are always happy to endorse ambulance chasers for some money from someone's insurance.
It's a far cry from playing at Watersheddings in the cup in 1989 (I think) when the only reason we could see the lines was that that was where the snow had been cleared. I vividly remember Kevin Iro-o-o-o-o sliding 10 m plus to score. All good fun and I don't remember Elf and safety being overly troubled.
