what is the most unusual players name you've seen or heard,i've just been on the york website and they have a player called luke HARDBOTTLE.

I think one of the more comical ones was Steele Retchless who used to play for London. That name was straight out of an 80's tv cop show. :lol:

I love that name, but you do have a point.
A misheard name when I was watching the NRL on SKY a few years back, my good lady asked "What was that last name?"

york had two players in the late 80`s/early 90`s called david kettlestring and ross windshuttle :D

Cant remember who he played/plays for but Wayne Kerr always brings a smile to my face

Obviously not famous but I played in a team with two brothers who were both forwards and called Neil and Ben Downey.

I think he plays for Oldham.
