According to the Leigh fan who works in the DW ticket office who posts on rlfans you are not likely to be wrong. He said he recalls a game of theirs were he reffed and the penalty could was 23-18 or something. Yes that's the penalty count not the score.

Couldn't care less if he's only ten years old as long as he does his job right

I thought he was quite good. The fact one of the TJ's signalled a forward pass and he acted on it must be a first for SL. I think he pulled up about three or four over the course of the game and that was good to see.

He missed a few things later on and made a few mistakes but despite my reservations based on what the Leigh fan on rlfans said he didn't get in the way of the game and so that was a goo d start to his SL reffing career IMO.

I agree how refreshing it was to see a referee who prepared to listen to his touch judge and change his original decision. This happened more than once during the course of the game.
I often get the feeling that the likes of Ganson are above taking instruction from a man who is stood at the side of the pitch.
I personally thought Child's had a reasonable game although after penalising Crusaders about 10 times for interference, I thought he could have had a word with their Captain.

True and after several blatant holding down penalties that were really professional fouls he could have sin binned a Crusaders player right at the death. I'll give him the benefit of the doubt though because if he had done this throughout the game he would have matched the penalty count I mentioned earlier in the thread and the game would have been dire as a result.
