The Richards penalty

I am not convinced it was. Nowhere in the rule book does it say the play has to move from where he is stood. He cannot block/step across which IMO he did not. The onus is on the chaser to go around him not through him.

he did put the sholder in though....good ref decision in my opinion.

I think to be fair if you watch it on tv pat does touch the player and inpeed him, but a bit 50/50 imo though

No complaints from me cp im realy gutted after the way we played at wire, i get down to as many games as i can and make it a social as well as just a match experience, so watchin on tv and puting up with biased opinion Plus Nobby on sky is very hard to bare for me. Thank goodness for real ale

I have to say I thought that the penalty was fair enough. He moved from where he was towards the Bradford player and definately put the shoulder in.

he didnt change the direction he was running in ,the ref as to look did the bradford player play 4 the penalty ,think in this case the ansewer was yes he did .\\\\\so wrong decision in my opinion

Thought the ref had a good game to be fair but it was the touch judge who called it. At the game I thought it was Hansen(?) who was penalised for tackling the man without the ball just before the Richards incident. Either were fair enough penalties imo.

I don't think we can the referee though. The TJ gave it. The referee just backed him as all referees do / have to.
