Wigan Warriors can today announce their St George’s Day celebrations which will take place when Harlequins visit the DW Stadium on Friday 23rd April.

The event will see a number of community, business and charity related initiatives launched over the coming weeks as the Warriors celebrate everything English and in doing so hope to set a new attendance record for the visit of Harlequins – over 14,977 which was set in 2009 following a close partnership with local businesses, and in particular Heinz.

Hope its successful at bringing the crowds in. Most people don't know a great deal about who this George fella is let alone when St George's day is but with some decent offers to local businesses it should do well. Just hope it helps us get our average attendance above Hull's because they are obsessed. Things like this and the timing of saints at home make a difference.

Will the North Stand be available for this game to keep the Scottish , Welsh & Irish Warrior fans seggregated and safe from Dragon Slayers ?

2002 and EW is hooked
