Greatest ever Wigan try

I thought it was quite a good topic so nicked it from RLFans. What does every one think is the greatest try they have ever seen? I went for Hanley's beauty v Saints at Wembley ('89 was it?). One that I also mentioned having watched it again today (and recommend everyone else should) and not realising at the time just how good it was, Amos Roberts' try against Wakefield when he got injured is an absolute beauty and I think it was largely forgotten about as a quality try because of how it ended. The way he bursts through the defence at first is fantastic, hardly anyone lays a finger on him despite so many getting close and he even ends up running diagonally at full speed at one point. I genuinely think he is one of the most exciting players we've had for years and we missed him loads when he was out. i just wish he was ten years younger.

Mine would have to be one from either:

1, Inga scoring in the corner at CP against the Aussies, chip over the winger, gathers the ball left handed whilst handing off the fullback with his right and putting the ball down in the corner.

2, Offiah's length of the field effort were he turned Alan Tait inside out, against Leeds.

3, Renouf to Radlinski against Bradford in (circa) 2000.

Many more but I have trouble remembering last week, never mind the last 24 years that I've been watching! :)

Best Try for Me Henderson Gill 1985 CC AT wembley !
Not exactly but been going through this years Wigan games and had chance to see all his tries again. Given that I thought he played absolutely crap last year I took a bit of convincing but I doubt anyone we've had in the last 10 years could have scored most of them. If he scores a few more from nowhere and wins us the Grand Final I'll accept the 'smitten' label lol

Offiah's for mine, simple for the fact that Tait was spouting off before the game how he wasn't fussed about Martins pace basically saying he had him in his pocket. showed him the outside then could do nothing but watch

Andy Gregory's first Wigan try at Thrum Hall in the late eighties is my personal favourite. He broke from his own half through the middle of the Halifax defence constantly looking for a team mate to pass to, before realising he had crossed the Halifax try line with the Wigan fans screaming at him to put the ball down. Brilliant try. I think it won the game for us as well.

One of two for me - either Ellery Hanleys "sideways" run against halifax at wembley or the one of his running through 3 saints players when we beat them 27-0

can't find the other one

Anyone remember Green Vigo diving for the line and congratulating himself? It would have been a brilliant effort if the line in question hadn't been the 25 yard line as it was then known!!
