I wish him the best with his future...
I don't think he gets the recognition for his efforts that some of the other players get.

MARK Riddell says he will be “very disappointed” to leave Wigan after confirming he will cut short his stay to return to Australia.
The hooker – who was under contract with Warriors until the end of 2011 – will depart at the end of this season because his mother is ill.

Will be a big loss to wigan - on this seasons form one of the best N0 9's wigan have had in many years.
All top teams heed a hooker who can direct a team and put an element of doubt into the defence - it makes teh first receiver's job so much easier.
will be interesting to see how he is replaced - i'm not convinced of a MM TL pairing for next season.

Shame he`s leaving he`s played well this year , I agree it`s odd sky have announced it before Wigan .
Tommy to hooker with MM , means we need a good scrum half , Deacons not good enough .
But in any case good luck to Mark Riddell and hope his mother is okay .

Personally think this is the right decision for Mark, for no other reason than familly must always come first. I wish him and his familly all the best for the future. Hope things go well for you both on and off the pitch.
