Widnes Defeat has REALLY cost us.

Hull lost again today going down 22-20 at Huddersfield, for their third defeat on the spin. Looks like they've hit their bad patch at the so-called 'easy' part of their season!
We are 2 points behind Hull now with a far inferior points difference, so realistically we need Hull to lose twice and Wigan to win twice. How different things would have been if we had beaten Widnes. We would have been joint 2nd, with on-paper, an easier final two games.
Like I have said all along, the two defeats at Bradford, one at Leeds, and the points against Saints, Hull and Leeds have not cost us anything. It is the results at London, Widnes, Warrington and Huddersfield that have really messed up our season. I'm not saying we should have won all four, because all teams have a shock result or two each year, but if we could have hung onto our lead against the Broncos, and actually played rugby against Widnes, things would be oh-so-different.
