Re: Simmons as coach , shenton moving as well

Got something to discuss about RL in general? Then this is the place to post it.

I wonder where they got the idea to hire an assistant coach from the NRL? :conf:

Simmons previously coached at Hull. How well did his first stint in the British game coaching-wise go?

I have been informed he has a "relaxed attitude" to player drinking too

Seems like a lot of Tigers fans are glad to see him go.

Who is handling recruitment at knowsley GP recruitment hole? Neither of the rumoured signings (Mcarthy Scarsbrook and Shenton) are anything much more than reasonable club players.

Lyon, Gidley, Shenton - it's not hard to see who is the weakest link!
"And Martin Offiah, trying to make some space, now then..." - Ray French, Wembley 1994

Interviewer: So that obviously means that you're not going to St Helens and you're not going to Leeds?

Frano: I don't know why I would ever want to go to St Helens or Leeds

That comment just set my "understatement-o-meter" off the scale!

Not one person is sorry to see him go - first he was defensive coach and they leaked points; then they moved him to attack and now they can't score!

On top of that he seems unable to dress himself for different weather conditions (the comments about wearing a poncho in blazing sunshine are hilarious).

Sounds like he will fit in well with all of the other window lickers in st helens!

Made you chuckle?

I pee'd myself at this!
strange that now, after so many years of criticism of Simmons as defensive coach, the team is now the best defensive unit we have ever had and performing as expected finally.
Because Royce does the attack now
Which is why we look sh*t and grubber on the 2nd and the bulk of our tries come from long range
The sooner this spastic gnome is f**ked off the better
