Crusaders break the Super League record again, within 2 weeks...

Got something to discuss about RL in general? Then this is the place to post it.

Crusaders break the Super League record again, within 2 weeks...

Post by ancientnloyal »

A fantastic crowd of 1,122 turned up for the Crusaders v Harlequins game last night...

the lowest EVER SL game... Cas are now off the hook.

Sorry but, I may be wrong, didn't wigan get 18,000 versus Harlequins???

Was always going to be a low crowd anyway but didn't the match kick off a some stupid time like 6pm. Anyone working in London would not have a chance of making that game and to be fair not many people in North Wales would have had time if they clocked off at 5.

Yeah Wigan got 18605 against Quins but we did give some of those tickets away so not a fair comparison really.

It doesn't matter... Wigan didn't give away a lot of tickets only to some servicemen i believe, everyone else paid. It is Crusaders fault for not promoting the game and with that attendance it seems they have around 1,000 season ticket holders or less as they'd count the season tickets anyway in any figures released like wigan do.

It is pathetic.

Yes the game was in Neath, making the 6pm kick off time even more ridiculous.

2010 Super League attendances for Crusaders already total 48,374, which 687 more than 2009 with three home matches remaining. And with bumper crowds expected against St Helens and Hull KR, the club are aiming to break the 60,000 barrier
'smashed' by 687?

Their actual average attendance is 4,499 but i suppose they wont want to include that figure.

Bradford - 2,979
Cas - 1,495
Catalans 6,124
Quins 1,122
Hudds 4,127
Hull - 6,794
Leeds - 10,334
Salford - 2,412
Wakefield - 2,837
Wire - 5,197
Wigan 6,075

still better than quins and salford i suppose.

According to the Crusaders website the game was played in Neath. This just get more ridiculous how are the fans meant to know where they are playing if the Super League don't.

this was agreed at the beginning of the season that two matches would be played in South Wales .Home fans would rather have them at Wrexham but its a little thank you to the people who travel up to Wrexham from their original fan base.St helens will be an 8000/9000 as not to far for away fans to come.Wigan fans seemed to like the racecourse when they came and the sport is new to north wales if you like your rugby league so much why keep putting teams down .Wigan is by far the best team in the league this year and i love to watch them play ,but still try to support the lower league"s as well .
