Re: magic weekend
There was an announcement from the RFL saying they were basically delaying announcing their decision so God knows when it will be announced (How many 'announcements' can you say in one sentence lol). Maybe the RFL will hope everyone forgets about it and they won't have to announce it at all lol.

It is supposed to be pre season now, & the first weekend in February so I have been told. And it is to be held in Cardiff.katerigby wrote:they better make a date i love the magic weekend.

Even Angela Powers off Sky has said it is a bad idea so early in the season and so soon after Christmas & the New Year...

Exactly!! Not being able to mingle with opposing fans like in the late spring/early summer. Sat or stood outside with your teams colours showing loud & proud.ancientnloyal wrote:who'd want to go to Cardiff in mid-winter? short cold days... i'm happy just going Leigh pre season.
Instead wrapped up with hats & scarves the only way to identify fans & huddled together to keep warm.

Re: magic weekend
scrap it, it's a stupid idea anyway.
Why play an extra game, it hands easy points to some teams that may be vital at the end of a season.
If they have to persist with it, just make it a regular round.

Re: magic weekend
I completley agree, and if you look at our two closest rivals now, they both had easy wins on the extra game... Even though we won it was never guaranteed, it makes the point difference we hold now on those two even more impressive...exile in Tiger country wrote:scrap it, it's a stupid idea anyway.
