Was talking about this last night, who are the main contenders? Liam Farrell must be there or there abouts, the only thing possibly going against Farrell would be that period at the start of the season where he didnt get too much game time. My stains friend reckons Jamie Foster should win it easily. Liam Watts from Hull Kr was another name mentioned. Who do people think would be a worthy winner?

I've been very impressed by watts from start of season. He was kr's best player on the home game back near the start of the season.

I think a lot young players have come in to all teams at various stage this year due to injuries. That's why it'd be a hard call. Foster must be a front runner though, its always the play makers and point scorers that will get noticed more.

What's the age limit for this? Darrell's 22 surely he could've been in with a shout

I think you have to be under the age off 21 when the season starts but I stand to be corrected.

Jamie Foster would get my vote. He came in for a lot of flak on RedVee after the Salford game but he was paired with Lomax on the wing which didn't work.

I said at the time that the lad had class. And he's an awesome goalkicker!

Yeah Jamie Foster must definetly be a front runner, Liam Watts recieved the rookie of the year award so maybe another strong contender, it looks to be between those two realistically

Jamie Foster although from the other side of the track would get my vote. Despite being from the enemy camp is still an outstanding young player. So is as rightly pointed out young Watts.I have been impressed with his go forward for such a young man. Usually take a few more years to mature. :D

I think Farrell will win the clubs young player of the year but IMO Tom Briscoe will win it for throughout super league he has been outstanding this year.

Tom Briscoe is a good shout aswell, i think its wide open this year compared to previous, Sam was a shoe in last year, i think if Eastmond would have stayed fit they would have given it to him regardless just to match him up and equal him up with Sams acheivements but unfortunatley for Kyle, he is always injured. Does anyone think he is too muscley and sort of too finely tuned for his own good?

Liam made 58 tackles on frida. dont forget how hard it would be to get a regular place in a top of the table team, yet he has done it this year and had some great games
