IMO, we would be at least even.

Yes, 0-75 did hurt but at the end of the day it didn't win them a trophy.

To nil a team in a Challenge Cup final is a supreme achievement.

But whatever the score is should we win next Saturday it will surpass their 0-75 as we'll have brought the Super League title back to Wigan, can't get better than that.

Saints can score 80 this game as long as we score 81.

Any win will do me, its been far too long.

The 75 never hurt IMO because it was part of a calamatous period and embarassment was a weekly occupation following Wigan back then.

Yes, but we continued to turn up for our 'weekly occupation', as you put it, without any real or little reward.

But we continued to support our lads through the bad times, & we have been justly rewarded for that.

That dreadful game in 2005 was when were at our lowest ebb and after the club winning silverware Wigan inflicting similar pain on St Helens is something I dream of day and night.

The 75 nil drubbing is something that hurt on the day and still hurts now. It is something that will always be thrown back in our faces by the stains. And quite rightly so as I'm sure we would do the same. All I ask of the lads next week is to make us proud come win or lose. Play the rugby that as entertained us all season long. Give your all even if it is in defeat. Because I firmly believe that if it is not this year it most certainly is on the way next year.I am proud of what the lads have achieved this season and shall continue to be proud until the day I die. I shall continue to be proud that I was born a Wigan lad and will die a Wigan lad.And not a Stain. This may seem to be in the negative when I say if we lose. But I firmly believe we will win next week. Just as I said we would beat Leeds!

Each to their own. The games that hurt me are the ones where Wigan are well in the lead and the opp comeback to snatch victory. Even when we were by far the best team in Britain Saints could do that and the Bradford / Quins defeats this season hurt.

Most painful defeat for me was Oldham and Paddy Kirwin

I was 16 or 17 at the time and I think at that age it hurts more particularly when you are expected to win. My first Wembley Final with Wigan was the Widnes / Joe Lydon defeat and oddly the Wigan fans were happier that day than the Widnes ones. We were just happy to be there, win or lose. Now Paddy Kirwin
