hiya all
im just completing a case study for my sports course at college on wigan warriors and im just wondering if anyone actually knows how much wigan was sold for by Dave Whelan to Mr Lenagan ??

The rumoured figure was £3 million including the Orrell complex.

I think the official figure was undisclosed but it is rumoured to be around £3 million for 89% shares of the club and the training facilities are Edge Hall Road in Orrell.
The DW Stadium is owned by Dave Whelan and not by Wigan Warriors or Wigan Athletic so a lease was agreed for Wigan Warriors to use the stadium. The original lease was for 99 years but was cut to 25 years after Lenagan took over.
