Castleford Tigers have today received a substantial six-figure fee from Hull FC for the sale of back row forward
Joe Westerman.
That's after Hull denying it all week...
Meanwhile... Wakefield have signed Motu Tony

Anyone can support a team when it is winning, that takes no courage.
But to stand behind a team, to defend a team when it is down and really needs you,
that takes a lot of courage. #18thMan

Apparently, Cas intend to put the cash towards a new stadium. With Shenton going to Stains as well, can't see how they expect to do owt next season. Bit like the old joke about the man who sold his dog so he could afford to buy a dog licence!

Spoke to a Cas fan in Whitby today and he wasnt to concerned about Shenton & Westerman leaving, he says they have young kids coming through the ranks.
Moto Tony is well passed his sell by date, he was rank at Whitehaven last season, was way over weight and as slow as a box mangle. Typical of a baloon returning from Yawnion.

Most cas fans have been quite derogatory of Westerman for over a season now (and not just his on-field efforts either )Panchitta Marra wrote:Spoke to a Cas fan in Whitby today and he wasnt to concerned about Shenton & Westerman leaving,

The biggest Room is the Room for improvement.
The best form of defence is attack!!
Out of the black and into the red, remember you don't get anything for two in a bed!!

I don't remember any of them standing out when we played their U20's, and their side was pretty poor, even by Academy standards. IIRC only Quins were worse than them.Panchitta Marra wrote:Spoke to a Cas fan in Whitby today and he wasnt to concerned about Shenton & Westerman leaving, he says they have young kids coming through the ranks.
