The uncertainty over the future of the Crusaders in the Super League will be resolved today when the Welsh club are expected to emerge from administration under the same owners but possibly with a new name and a points deduction for the 2011 season.
The Wrexham consortium which called in the administrators this month to escape the debts inherited when taking over the Bridgend-based Celtic Crusaders this time last year is thought to have reached an agreement with the Rugby Football League following lengthy talks yesterday evening.
The club and the RFL are ready to make a joint statement, allowing Iestyn Harris, who was appointed to succeed Brian Noble as coach shortly before the Crusaders went into administration, to finalise at least two more new signings – possibly including Richard Moore, the Wakefield Trinity forward.

Anyone can support a team when it is winning, that takes no courage.
But to stand behind a team, to defend a team when it is down and really needs you,
that takes a lot of courage. #18thMan

it is a joke, why pump more money into a club that is never really going to get off the ground?
Saints are just wiganers who haven't fully evolved

Well, I wish the Welsh well in their bid and hope that finally we get a club worthy of Superleague status.
They should change their name; and please please anything but "Crusaders".
The Crusades were the ugliest inhumane episode in the whole sorry saga of Christian oppression of anyone daring to disagree. They are nothing to be proud of and the name conjures immediate division from the Islamic community.
If we want to be inclusive it's just not the right name!

Thats religion for you, wrong.
Something else that's wrong is the Crusaders carrying on when it clearly won't be successful. how much more time do we need? London has had less than 30 years!

It is still Crusaders they are just Welsh in front making them the Welsh Crusaders.Well they have had a few battles but hopefully the new owners it will settle down now .But the loss of points won"t do much for their chances next season rules are rules and they will have to dig deep.
