Joel Monaghan signs for Warrington

Got something to discuss about RL in general? Then this is the place to post it.

Joel Monaghan signs for Warrington

Post by Sutty »

Have they got a completely flexible cap or something, I honestly can't see how they've got him in. One of my mates at work is a wire fan and even he's perplexed. Having said that, apparently Chris Hicks has retired.

When it was first reported that he was training with the team, Warrington were specifically quoted as saying they would not be signing him because they had no room under the cap. It certainly does beg the question as to why that scenario has suddenly changed?

Anyway good luck to the lad. Woof Woof! :D

Chris commented:
"I see this opportunity as a good time to reconsider my retirement since realising that this move for Joel could be on the cards,
If he was originally going to retire isn't it a bit strange that he has just decided now!!

If retirement was on his mind he would surely have said something before the end of the season!!

It sounds to me as if he has been gently pushed to make way for the the dirty dog!!!
Anyone can support a team when it is winning, that takes no courage.
But to stand behind a team, to defend a team when it is down and really needs you,
that takes a lot of courage. #18thMan

The salary cap fiasco as per usual. Does anybody honestly think Hicks is going to say hey I will retire out of the goodness of my heart to help a dog molestor.

Moran to Hick, Chris retire, I will see you right with a nice deposit in your account. Hick that sounds fine. I have to say I am not a huge fan of Monaghan. Definetly more a centre than a winger. I hope fans across Britain rip him to shreds.

A real signing of the highest pedigree....... chum.

On a more serious note, someone MUST look at their payroll. Absolute joke.

All I will say is...just wait til they come to the DW *rubs hands together*

Hope I can make it to that game and that i'm not in Afghanistan, get my seat right next to the away bench and give out some stick, or maybe just through him one.
