Phil Clarke knows his stuff???

It was interesting listening to Phil Clarke. He's already tipped Saints to win the grand final and prior to the game yesterday, he said that Saints front row is probably the best in Super League. After 50mns, it was looking like he'd end up with a big load of egg in his mush but after 80mns I think he has a point. Roby was outstanding, overall probably MOM Graham as much as we love to hate him was very good and Scarsbrook, well I think we should have signed him but I was made up when we got Lima instead. Puletua coming off the bench was an handfull every time he got the ball.

All in all, Phil Clarke does know his Rugby, far more than Cullen, Wells or any of the other "experts". Still think he's wrong though about the grand final though.

I did enjoy his comment about referees and why they are named. “Why name them? Why not just call them the referee? We identify these people and give them celebrity in their own right. Next thing, they are on the After Dinner Speech circuit!”

Decent point!

But his comments about injured players not being treated if it went on too long "in case it's not serious" or something like that was moronic, he of all people should know how important good care of injured players is.
These aren't wendyball players, these are tough athletes.
