I rather agree with platt-warrior on this one Tonyidol. St George players will probably be echoing the same sentiments. I fear this will be a very hard faught game.I can see us being on the back foot for this one.Withstanding the pressure and hoping to hit them on the break. I expect this to be a hard game with a small score either way.

I'll echo the words our captain said to us last year when we were classed as 'underdogs' in our National Final, which we ended up winning.

I've never been a happy clapper, i've done my fair share of whinging about Wigan in the past but under Madge we have that winning mentality and fear no one and I can relate to this in my own clubs situation.

Wigan will need to be very patient,

Saints play a real mistake free game and can be ruthless on opposition errors.

Shutting down Soward is definitely the key to stopping them, him and Boyd are the dangermen imo.

Hopefully Wigan will get off to a good start too.

Ha...I hope your blokes go in with this attitude. Would suit our grinding style perfectly.

Should be a cracking match. Soward and Boyd are important but the best thing we have is our depth- we have strength across the field and are far from a one or two man team.

Glad you are having a great time Jubsy.

My head tells me we need a full 80. For quite a while we have been fantastic for 40 minutes but often had a very poor period. Saints and Bradford both showed that. I think St George are a fantastic team and 2 years down the line compared to our 12 months. Still no better game than a WCC to produce your best and taking my cue from Tony and Mike Greg IIRC.

C'mon Wigan, let's rip in and tear those convicts apart
