Bored, and 4.00pm can't come quick enough!

So, to help pass the time I thought I would put a thread on about your most memorable try?

I think mine has to be Henderson Gill vs Hull Challenge cup final 1985.

I was smiling twice as wide as Gilly at that moment. :D

Said it before but mine was J Jason RObinson CUp semi final agst Stains I think. He ran from his own line arced round their defence before sprinting the length of the pitch and going over in the opposite corner......Great try but Most Memorable because I got my mug on Grandstand every week after they used it in the opening credits and you could see three of us jumping up and down in the background!

Warrior Wills when I read the title of this thread the Gill try was the first one I thought of. I was standing at the other end of wembley and still needed sunglasses to prevent the dazzle from the smile.

As a next best I would say Hanley surrounded by 4 Saints players at Wembley again. I don't think any of them even got a hand on him as he danced the final 20 metres to the line. 27-0!

That and Ferguson scoring when he was supposed to be injured.

I also think Offiah's try v Leeds at Wembley where Tait waved him by on the outside was a classic.

Another for me was when Tuigamala scored v the Aussies when they played Wigan at CP. Chipped the ball, caught his own kick and powered down the left for a great try leaving one S. Renouf clutching at air.

He's only been playin the game a short time as well.

Mine as to be one of Brian Carneys against Leeds at Headliney in the Semi-Final of the Grand Final. Both were great tries and it was probably the best match ive seen, when we won by 1 point.

There was one when we were in the Middlesex 7's back in 96(?), Inga got the ball and ran off with some guy trying three times to tackle him and each time he was just palmed off as if he were some kind of annoying insect. This guy's persistence was admirable, but he just ended up looking stupid. Always brings a smile when I watch that.

Bit more recent but that brian carney one last year that was made by Pongia, when he pointed to the spot he was going to kick it to. Still makes me giggle at the scousers, another thing that always makes me smile but isnt a try, is when Kris Radlinski does that try saving tackle at Murrayfield in the first few minutes. Actually that whole game has me smiling, except for Leeds 98, I was always too young to really remember any big match tries. :(

I agree with DaveO, Offiah's Wembley try against Leeds.
Another that sticks in my mind is one by Henry Paul, but can't remember the opponents. A dropout from under our sticks, HP raced to halfway from our line and got to it first, went the rest of the way to score! (probably offside, but who cared?)

mine has to be the last try scored by a wigan player at central park. PJ being my favourite and scoring the last try it has to be a special 1 for me.
