I remember speaking to Mick Hogan and whether they still do it he said Wire were masters at having been tackled moving off the mark to play the ball and/or opening up room for Monaghan.

Personally, I think people need to stop getting carried away by Wire. Nothing is won at this time of the year and to be playing so well now IMO can be a bad thing as they become over confident and will struggle to cope with a hard close match. I firmly believe it is impossible to be playing at your best mopnth after month.

Leeds, McDermott was supposedly a future GB/England coach etc etc His stint at Leeds suggests he is not even cut out for a big club SL job.

They are playing in the same style that we were last season. They have seen how to play successfully as we did & have taken it on board.

Then again they do have two coaches in the Smiths, albeit one is in OZ!!!

Reckon they will start to run out of steam at he back ends of the season/play offs, no team can keep that pace up all season, they will probably come unstuck after their CC run

This is one major factor Wire have over other teams. Brother Bri who IMO is involved in every big game scenario.

In last nights game, Leeds only had one clear set of 6 in the first 20 minutes or so and from memory that was the first set. A team cannot compete without the ball.
Leeds continually unforced errors and silly penalties lost their drive in the game and effectively the match.

Similar things were said about Wigan at this point last year though. I don't think we can rely on Wire to run out of steam, I think Wigan and the other top clubs in Super League need to work on matching/bettering them.

Cherry I think Wire are different in that they are on fire at the present time whereas although we were fantastic we also had regular blips that acted as wake up calls at regular points in the season.

Last season I was not impressed by the way Wire imploded in the SL play offs. The moment something goes wrong they seem to lack mental toughness.

I also remember a Jack Gibson quote along the lines, 'every victory is a game closer to defeat'

The brother influence is there for all to see. Interestingly whilst Brian creates fantastic teams, play great RL they repeatedly fail at the final hurdle. Far too often for it to be just bad luck.

they havent played a team in form since they lost to huddersfield who also beat leeds the week after they beat warrington who in all fairness are a dry track team towards back end of the season when its wet errors will creep in like last season when they did nothing in the playoffs

I honestly don't think that people are getting carried away by warringtons form cp just giving observations.I have and always will believe that we are better than the wire.Leeds came undone in several fields last night.Indiscipline,poor kicking game,no completion rate,Burrows was left on the sideline for to long.Maguire went missing for most of the game,and poor JP looked suddenly old.JJB was his usual petulant self. I think the wire lot will meet a Wigan Team with confidence when the likes of HH GH and SF return to the field.Fresh as daisy's.We will be Super League Champions again.

I don't think they are playing the same style we did, Last night they got away with murder because the idiot Childs refused to see them moving off the mark, stealing the ball, holding tackling players down, etc.
A decent ref, Silverwood or Ganson, would have seen a much closer game.
