Mr Noble gets a taste of his own medicine??

Brian Noble complaining about the lack of opportunities for English coaches. He basically says that any young up and coming coaches are going to be well miffed and might not bother continuing in the game due to the predominance of Antipodean coaches in the SL.
I wonder how many English youths he peed off the game by signing also ran Aussie players and not giving them a chance???

Noble is obviously pissed off at losing out to a 'nobody' for the Salford job. He is correct in what he says except he fails to mention that English coaches no longer cut the mustard.
Fact. Top 6 SL clubs have an overseas coach.
Fact. 10 of 15 SL Grand Finals have been won by an overseas coach in his first season.
Probability. Any experienced NRL Assistant Coach would out-perform any English Coach
Fantasy. English player retires. Goes to Oz to become Assistant Coach. Returns to make English club more successful. Will never happen!

The loss of names like Ellery is an issue but perhaps coaches like Noble, Kear etc are also part of the problem. Time they retired?
Leeds should be banging Ellery's door down

Ellery is too much his own man to give Leeds the time of day. Hetherington strikes me as being in the Whelan/Lindsay mould!

Giver over. You are giving him far too much credit.
For all his faults Lindsay was the man behind the SL itself and before that gave us a very good decade.
Hetherington is a far more dangerous character IMO
