I too thought the remark a disgrace, but he more or less stated in the other article earlier in the week that our style of play should not be allowed.

Why can't he just accept defeat with good grace? He is behaving exactly like he was when at Leeds. His team are invincible & teams have no right to come & outplay them!

Even John Kear said there wasn't anything wrong in the tackle, which for him to say that is something :exc:

It's pathetic and you're right CP, IL should demand a retraction of some sort.

What does smith wants us to do? granted, wire are a fantastic off loading team, so we even more so have to wrap the ball up and ground the players to negate this. You only have to look at kings try through westwoods offload to see that when we don't complete the tackle properly they can hurt you, obviously this is what TS wants.

I agree. His comments on the BBC immediately after the match seemed quite reasonable for a defeated coach who despite his best efforts to be a little bit dismissive of the competition was clearly gutted.

I don't think he said this then or I didn't hear it but if you look at the BBC web site they have actually highlighted this quote in one of those little headline comment boxes in the report. In the main body of the text it says the official saw nothing wrong and that isn't highlighted. Well what a surprise. The officials saw nothing wrong because there wasn't anything wrong and the BBC are indulging in tabloid journalism stirring it up by highlighting this.

Knowing the RFL they will react to the bad press, Coley will be up before the beak and banned for the semi final!

So many respected people in the game have said that there was nothing wrong with the tackle, surley even the RFL aren't daft enough to cite Coley.
