"Championship side Barrow Raiders have been deducted six points by the RFL for a breach of salary cap.
A further deduction has been suspended until the end of the 2012 season for another breach of operational rules.
The RFL imposed the punishment following Friday's tribunal but the Raiders have the right to appeal.
The deduction sees Barrow drop just one place in the Championship table to seventh.
They are the second Championship club to be deducted points this season after Leigh were docked three. also fory a salary cap offence".

Heard a very interesting rumour on this story.
Ned Catic had apparently approached Des Johnston (Barrow Chairman) about an outstanding bonus payment that he insisted was owing to him.
Des advised that he was refusing to pay the bonus, as Ned had been banned for 4 matches following a incident where he verbally abused a doping control officer.
The conversation got heated and following this Ned went to the Raiders sports shop/store and took money out of the till in front of the female assistant, giving her verbal abuse whilst telling her it was owed to him.
Des Johnston supposedly told Catic that he was bringing in the police to which Catic apparently replied by saying that if he did then he would advise the plod of the brown envelope payments that the Barrow players have received from Des over some period of time.
This is just a rumour, but interesting nonetheless.

Dont know the official reason why Schofield got the push Bri, but heard another interesting comment re Catic and Jonstone.
Catic wanted a car in his initial deal with Barrow Raiders, so Des turns up on his doorstep with a pushbike.
Catic says, its a car I wanted, but Des replied saying that the bike was good enough to get him around Barrow.
