Hear me out guys !

I believe that prior to todays game we were 12 matches unbeaten, surely we werent going to go 18 unbeaten? Well, that's what we would have had to do to win the Grand Final.

Yes, I would have LOVED to smash Dire ( I work there so you can imagine the BS I am facing next week ) BUT, the system that is in place in Rugby League means that coming top, whilst nice, is not the be all and end all.

Ask the scousers..... they did it several times and didnt win the grand final. Does anyone remember them for it ?

Nope.

We can still do it when it counts, and I fancy us to do so.

COME ON WIGAN !

Exactly PEAPOI, a real wake up call. My problem is I believe the league leaders are the true champions and that a GF without the hubcap is a hollow victory.

It isn't the loss - I expected it to be close and thought we would lose, but the way we played is the major concern. Doesn't bode well for the play offs. Expecetd MM to give them a roasting at half time and thought he had. We came out and played better but still couldn't get our game together and still no discipline.

I tend to agree. The league leaders are the champions.

But what say does a lowly Warriors fan have in the greater glory of all things Red Hall ?

Dont be worrying.

This game has no bearing on the play offs.

Lets look back at the CC Quarter final... do you think Dire were thinking about that game before today ?

Nope.

I think Dire were thinking about today's game. God only knows what we were thinking of.

Wire have been plotting and planning for a fortnight, they even came up with a Wigan specific game plan. Every single media release / quote by Tony Smith is plotted and planned. He truly loathes us BTW.

It's a loss, deal with it and come back better, stronger, faster and WIN next time.
I never thought of losing, but now that it' s happened, the only thing is to do it right. That's my obligation to all the people who believe in me. We all have to take defeats in life. Muhammad Ali

I think this was always on the cards after the game last week and subsequent celebrations. The team looked very jaded and tired and generally each player was way off the pace.

I hope we can come back - it was a bad loss and hopefully will focus a few minds. At least we have the luxury of being able to rest a few players and give others a try against Crusaders whereas Dire will have to play at full strength to beat Hull away. Plus - after beating us today, if they lose at Hull and we finish top it will be even sweeter. Feeling better already!!

I really did not fancy us to win today but not like that,we were poor, beaten by a far better side and we will need to improve drastically to even get to old trafford never mind win the gf
