Wire have become the new Rhinos

Post by Gizmo_Edwards »

There is a new scum of rugby league.

Not only have they bribed the RFL to let CARVELL off. He has not recieved any ban for his sickening high tackle.

Look at the following article:-

Over confidence and arrogance is abundance.

God i hope fartown beat them.

More sickening to read was this
RFL chief executive Nigel Wood has congratulated Warrington Wolves on their success in winning the Engage Super League Leaders' Shield for the first time.

On behalf of everyone at the RFL I would like to extend my congratulations to Tony Smith, his players, coaching staff and all the directors and officials of Warrington Wolves for their terrific achievement,” said Wood.

“Warrington’s success will no doubt taste even sweeter after a 38-year wait and is just reward for another season of progress at The Halliwell Jones Stadium.

“The Wolves are an ambitious club and I am sure their focus will now be firmly on reaching Old Trafford on Saturday October 8 and adding the Engage Super League trophy.

Well they both play in blue and yellow - struck me the other day that they even have police cars painted in their colours!!

I know a lot of Wire fans and all the ones I know are sound but there is no doubt that they have collected some really charming (NOT) fans since their 2 challenge cup successes but the Warrington Guardian really is something else, mosty due to a bloke called Mike Parsons who thinks Wire are the only rugby league team in the world.

Suppose we shouldn't begrudge them their hour of glory as they have been consistent all season and the last time they won the league Betamax video recorders had just hit the shops and the Austin Allegro was the car of the year.
Never argue with an idiot. He will bring you down to his level and beat you with experience.

I think it's very easy to forget some of the good things that that club have. But I'll start with the bad. I hate Briers. He's a c**k on the field and the one time I met him in Warrington on a night out, he was a c**k then too. Some of their fans have a certain arrogance and I don't like going to the HJ due to the niggle every time. When we beat them in 2010 it was like we'd committed a criminal act and I just couldn't help feeling, "why can't they just be good losers?"

Well, it's our time to be good losers and remember that some of their players and the majority of their fans are nothing more or less then decent people.

I for one really admire Morley and think Atkins is getting better and better. Both Monaghans are sublime when they get going and Wire's style of play is very attractive.
There are good reasons for them to be confident about reaching the GF and I think they will.

Britain was on a 3 day week, the lights went out while you were having your tea, Education Secretary Margaret Thatcher had cancelled free school milk and I was constantly being mistaken for David Cassidy!

I think Carvell was fine. That high tackle was sloppy not nasty and you can see his reaction instanteously as he did was not one of malice. By he large he's not a filthy player, so I don't have any issue with that decision

Dont remind me of the three day week KW. I went from a 5 day week to a 6 day week when that was brought in . I worked in 2 different quarries for the company i was employed with , one quarry then switched to Mon - Wed and the other Thurs - Sat so my hours increased at no extra pay because i was on a salary .

Ahhh. Betamax. If only the Californian pornography industry had pipped for the beta instead of VHS and we'd have all had superior video in the 1980s................

Someone mentioned something he did in the game which sounded particularly nasty (an elbow into the head of someone who'd been tackled?), but the high-tackle wasn't malicious at all and quite rightly received no further punishment for it.
Footballers spend 90 minutes pretending they're injured. Rugby League players spend 80 minutes pretending they're not.
