Could return in the play offs. Great effort, one tough guy. Would be good to have as back up...

Absolutely delighted to hear this both for Ben and for us. He really looked the part and seemed to be enjoying his rugby with us and I for one was sorry he wasn't going to be staying with us for next season as well. Seems to have a great attitude and is one big, lively unit which is always handy to have around. Well done Ben

This can only be a good thing, chuffed to bits if it happens!

He is one player with a very big point to prove. Love him to win a GF ring and shove it up McDermott's patooky!
Hell, I'd just love him to win a GF ring!

Agree he's one tough guy and could be just the boost we need particularly if Mossop doesn't return. Come on Ben we need you.

Recovery powers of Cross impress
Former Leeds Rhinos prop Ben Cross could make an amazing play-off comeback for Wigan after being out for just a month with a broken arm.
The Australian, 32, was a surprise short-term signing by the champions two months ago after he was released by the Rhinos, but he made only four appearances before breaking his forearm against Salford on August 14.
It ruled him out of the Challenge Cup final and was expected to sideline him for the remainder of the season, but he had the plaster cast removed after a fortnight and might play against St Helens in Sunday’s qualifying play-off.
Wakefield have given 12-month full-time contracts to academy products Danny Cowling and Kyle Trout while coach John Kear is expected to be confirmed as Batley Bulldogs’ new chief today.

Fair play to the lad, I would imagine he is not fully recovered but if he wants to play through the pain then let him. He is what we need right now with his power.
