How many times did we put ourselves under more pressure due to stupid penalties, for me joel and farrell was shocking, how many time did farrell run the ball back at the ruck as second receiver.

To many errors and the pack didnt stand up after the first 20.

It looked like frustration to me. Had they been blown the same way, the game would have cleaned up

You only come on here to whinge, penalties or no penalties we were beaten by the better team and we are knackered which is natural after playing 30 odd games on the bounce.

Leeds don't have as many players playing with injuries like us. We were beaten by Lomax and Gaskell tonight, we weren't coming on to the ball on the link at pace like we used to, all signs of tiredness oh and the fact that St Helens had an average of 4-5 second play the ball most of the game we had
No chance at getting 2 markers set.

We should have stopped them doing that. Tiredness is no excuse. Gaskell and Lomax are rookies. As Old Hooker said, we need to improve because that poor performance can't be blamed on external factors.

What I couldn't understand was that both Makinson and Foster were a bundle of nerves in the opening 15-20 minutes and we didn't stick the bomb up and put them under pressure to force an error which could have increased our lead whilst we were on top.

Oh and that's the second time Royce Simmons has out coached Us.

As for the tiredness I stand by it BECAUSE of the age of some of our players.

Tiredness had nothing to do with tonight's game mistakes cost us the match simple fact, and contrary to you previous post I don't come on here to just winge, I'm a Wigan share holder and proud to be called a Wigan fan, and even followed them whilst serving taking the queens shilling for 16 years service.
Tonight we didn't take our chances and the two players I've previously mentioned made the mistakes that cost us the game, Joel bombed two tries and Farrell gave away two penalties that led on the stains scoring.
In the first 15 mins we had every opportunity to take the game away from stains and due to the errors we lost field position that led to stains gaining yard to score during that set of six, watch the game again and then tell me if joel had scored those two tries we wouldn't have won the game

Wish people would stop using Leeds as an example of how fresh we should be. Winning a cup final is different to losing one. Players have that pressure and expectation on them at the start of the season to win a trophy. When any team wins the cup final a lot of that pressure is released and there is obviously a big celebration. I think its been proven since the cup final was moved to August that regaining that focus in a few weeks before the play offs is very difficult, while the team that loses at Wembley goes immediately back to work with something extra to prove.

It is going to be very hard for anyone to do the double again with the way the season is set up.
