Like so many others only chosen England because he will never be good enough to get picked for his home country. However he is better than anyone we currently have so must be a good thing

Yeah he is a good player and will make the squad obviously better, but there is just something not right with it.

Oz and Nz are just as guilty of this sort of thing as we are but the fact the rules are so lax to allow this does not mean this kind if thing is right.

An absolute farce!
The RFL are a joke to allow this to happen. What does it say about the state of rugby league in this country when we ship in a foreigner for a quick fix. Why invest money in young and grass roots players and when we finally get a crop of youngsters who need international experience we dont pick them. It's a joke! Chase is a good player... we know that. So is brett hodgson and michael monaghan why not ask them while we're at it?

A kick in the teeth to the kids. We'll never be good. We will always pick a player by name not form (leon pryce for example) and many will play out of position (sinfield at 6, lockers at 12 etc...) we are just setting ourselves up to get slaughtered!

Wembley will have 12,000 watching... most antipodeans working here.

'kin joke.

Don't like this but it happens in a lot of sports and alot of countries. Think the rule is you can change alligiance every 2 years which is stupid.

It's only a month or so that i read in rugby league world that Chase was desperate to play for New Zealand in the 4 nations. Must have had a chat with Stephen Kearney since then. Don't think his chances with them were likely to improve with Marshall, Foran and Johnson around.

My opinion is this.

He stayed with Cas cause he couldnt move to another Super League club cause he would have to apply for another work permit (not sure what the rules are but I heard it somewhere)

He wouldnt get a visa to work in Aus so couldnt move there and NZ Warriors are the only team in NZ but didn't want him.

That's just what I think. :doz:
