Latest score Cumbria 6 - Knights 16
Anyone can support a team when it is winning, that takes no courage.
But to stand behind a team, to defend a team when it is down and really needs you,
that takes a lot of courage. #18thMan

England Knights defeat Cumbria

England Knights defeated Cumbria this afternoon by recording at 26-12 victory at the Recreation Ground in Whitehaven this afternoon.

The victory meant the Knights maintained their 100% winning record following their 38-18 victory over France at Leigh Sports Village last weekend.

The first half proved to be an arm wrestle with just the one try from Leeds centre Zak Hardaker before the break, giving the Knights a 4-0 lead at half time.

Tries from the Knights in the second half game from Luke Gale, Kris Whelham, Liam Watts and Josh Charnley ensured the visitors came out victorious, with the Charnley also adding 3 conversions.

The Cumbrians did get on the scoresheet through Wakefield prop Kyle Amor and Brad Singleton with Darren Holt and Will Sharp each adding a conversion.

Cumbria

Carter, Larkin, Mossop, Harrison, Sharp, Campbell, Holt, Butler, Smith, Amor Whitehead, Wilkes, Singleton
Subs: Sice, Cullnean, Miller, Low

England Knights

Very poor game to be honest.
Cumbria had The Knights pinned in their own half just about 100% for the first 35 minutes before a breakaway try to go Knights 4:0 up.
Game livened up in 2nd half but cant see any of the Knights players seriously pushing for their England first team berths on this performance.
Myler was given the official MOM, crowd pissing themselves laughing, with Harrison MOM for Cumbria.
The Wigan lads, Josh, Lee and Liam played OK but nothing standing out.
