I don't think preseason friendlies are ever pretty to watch, there's too much messing about with interchanges and resting players. O'Loughlin played really well and scored a good couple of tries. Orr made a few breaks as well and I can see where Seuseu gets the nickname Steamroller from.

Our defence wasn't at all amazing and McLinden was really good for them, what they need now we've got Moran, but he did cause us a lot of trouble. I hope the rumours about Newton are false because I don't think Godwin stands out as a top class hooker, can't see why we let Smith go.

You havent been watching the same two games as me.

Godwin was our stand out player at salford.

He is a lot better than mark smith, but not a terry newton.

Its not hard to be better than mark smith in my opinion, but i could not possibly comment on the way he has played because i havent been able to go to either, it sounds like hes played good but i dont know, sounds like lockers was the stand out player today.

I think Rads is first in line, but yes, I agree, I think Lockers would be a good captain when the time came - nice to keep it in the family, too.

I'd imagine rads would be as well, but isnt he the same age as faz so it'd make more sense to give it someone younger so they can carry it on for however long they are with the club after faz's departure, rather than for maybe 1 or 2 years then give it o'loughlin?

Good point there Mrs Carney. I thought that when Radders was captain last season, his game suffered. Wouldn't it make more sense to have a captain that in the centre of the park in the thick of it, e.g. loose forward or half back?
