England will get their 2011 Rugby League Four Nations campaign underway this Saturday, 29 October (KO 2.30pm), when they face Wales at Leigh Sports Village Stadium.

England warmed-up for the match with a 32 - 18 victory over France in front of a bumper 17,000 fans at Parc des Sports in Avignon on Friday night and despite conceding two late tries, England put in a good display with Kevin Sinfield, Gareth Ellis, James Roby and man of the man Rangi Chase all putting in excellent performances. Wales put in a confident performance against Ireland in their warm-up game on Saturday, with a comprehensive 30 - 6 win. Despite resting captain Lee Briers and Gareth Thomas, Wales dominated the match with the only negative being a 77th minute try from Ireland.

With both teams in good form ahead of Saturday's match and some of the best players in the world on show the match promises to be an exciting encounter between the two home nations. Wales go into the game as underdogs but will looking to defy the odds and build on their achievement of winning the 2010 European Cup.

Anyone can support a team when it is winning, that takes no courage.
But to stand behind a team, to defend a team when it is down and really needs you,
that takes a lot of courage. #18thMan
