Rumours on Twitter that we are interested in kiwi centre Anthony Gelling. Anyone heard?

the fans on the forum seem to see him as a stop gap centre, much like joel does a job there but isnt an out and out centre.

He's obviously more of a number 2 than a centre but if he is dumped on us he could be a good signing.
If and when he arrives we will see what he can do do.
I've heard his favourite foods are Mr Whippy, nuggets, and at Xmas, a chocolate log.........

Give the guy a break he has not even signed yet. It is nearly impossible to sign a top class antipodean at present so the skill is going to be in finding a young talented player who can be developed.
I've never seen Gelling play so I can't form an opinion of whether he fits into that bracket or not but if the club feels that he fits the bill then I am willing to support the guy.
It's not that long ago that the majority on this site were panning Jeff Lima and then he went onto to win the Lance Todd trophy and become a cult hero.
There are few good centres in SL and certainly non available for transfer.
