PARISH QUITS SALFORD POST

Salford head coach Matt Parish has quit the Super League club less than six months into the job.

The 42-year-old Australian was appointed as the successor to Shaun McRae in June and arrived at the Willows a month later to take up an 18-month contract.

He was in charge for the last six matches of the season, five of which ended in defeat.

In a statement, the Super League club said: "Salford City Reds can today confirm that Matt Parish has resigned his position as head coach for personal reasons, with immediate effect."

What a disaster! Wilkinson tries to influence everything far too much. Long as assistant was a Wilkinson move.

probably a good fit, noble seems to get on well with directors and boards and delivers a stable performance. he's a good coach for teams that want to survive being there and there abouts

Apparently he was less than happy when he got here and felt that he had been conned about the team and it's prospects so not at all surprised that he has gone already
Never argue with an idiot. He will bring you down to his level and beat you with experience.
