Post by josie andrews »

England have named a 21-man squad for this Saturday’s Gillette Four Nations final against Australia at Elland Road, Leeds, kick off 6.00pm.

England coach Steve McNamara has kept faith with the same 17 that defeated New Zealand 28-6 at the KC Stadium last week.

Wests Tigers forward Gareth Ellis has fully recovered from a back injury that kept him out of last week’s victory against the Kiwis to take his place in the squad. He is joined by a trio of Leeds Rhinos players - Carl Ablett, Ryan Bailey and Danny McGuire, who have all been added to the squad.

The England squad to face Australia at Elland Road on Saturday November 19, kick off 6.00pm (local time) is as follows (professional club and community club in brackets):

Kirk Yeaman (Hull FC, Myton Warriors)
Tom Briscoe (Hull FC, Featherstone Lions)
Kevin Sinfield (Leeds Rhinos, Waterhead)

Gareth Widdop (Melbourne Storm, King Cross)
James Graham (St Helens, Blackbrook)

Anyone can support a team when it is winning, that takes no courage.
But to stand behind a team, to defend a team when it is down and really needs you,
that takes a lot of courage. #18thMan
