All Black star Sonny Bill Williams is reported to be on the verge of returning to the NRL and signing a five-year deal with the Sydney Roosters.

Good bit of research that PM - also 'Good' news for the game if it happens. He's a big personality & would add a lot of media interest for RL, especially as he states he's finding union "boring".

Think this is the type of player Rugby Leauge needs NF, very dynamic and physical, puts bums on seats at stadiums.
Love the comment that he's finding union boring.

"Union boring" ??

TWO full 80 min. Aviva matches today actually ended TRYLESS inc. a 15pts-all Draw featuring Saracens (watch out Joel) and another so-called "top" team, Wasps, who are plainly missing Shaun Edwards' coaching.

No wonder Sonny Bill's had enough, despite all the money, fame and fortune of the All Blacks.

I reckon with 3 points for a goal, tries are now considered 'optional' in Union! And has Joel played yet?

With the 3 point drop goal option which turns very average sportsmen like Johnny Wilkinson into world beater superstars then tries will always be a second option in Yawnion.
Thank goodness Rugby League was created.

Joel's played once so far, for their reserve grade, at centre.

He touched the ball twice, on one occasion making a try scoring pass out wide for his winger !

Sonny Bill (and rightly so) does what he wants when he wants for the money 1st enjoyment 2nd, he also looks for people to negotiate with, i.e a clause in his contract is he is allowed to continue boxing pro as and when, I say fair play to him he openly admits sports isnt a long career and he wants the most out of it!

SUPER PLAYER THOUGH!

Not exactly how the Australian media saw it at the time he left Canterbury. Currently out of contract so CAN do what he likes
