Rumours on boards@rlfans.com is that he had a plate removed from his leg on tuesday.

Terry newton said at the riversiders meeting on tuesday night that carney was seeing a specialist on tuesday.

Why would they remove it surely that'd make it weaker

Sorry - don't mean to put a damper on your ideas but I definitely heard he was on crutches last week. Must admit I don't like to think of him being out again but I think maybe the club should give us an update on his condition.

Looks positive enough in an interview with him in LE. Headline reads, Carney Relishes New Start (with Wigan).

is it just me, or does any one else think that brian will never be the player he was? getting nicked up far to easily.. he is a tough as nails.. but when your hammy goes, it is tough.. got back from the broken leg & now he is just having a terrible run with injuires.. hope he can get back to 100%, cos a fit brian carney is the most dangerous weapon in SL. is it only a matter of time before he gets labelled jinxed..?

you can`t beat that buzz.. when he gets the ball on a kick off or on the end of any kick.. u just never know what will happen with him, ball of energy.. would be a shame to lose that cause of re ocuring injuires.. wigan doctors are playing it right by not risking him when he feels a twinge.. u can bet he will be ready for salford.

Well that has to be recent and surely he'd admit if he wasnt fit or if he'd had an operation

I think his perfomances in the Tri-Nations proved he hasn't lost his game. Considering what a terribly unlucky season he had he was brilliant, by anyones standards (except maybe Hayley04's).
