What do we as fans want from the Salford match tonight?

Post by AdamMac »

well as the subject says...

I'd like to see another solid game from Goulding and see some evidence of a good partnership/understanding between himself and Josh.

Hock to look threatening and stike up a potent combination with Finch.

Lauaki to punch some holes in the opposition and be faultless on the penalty front.

Powell to get some game time with Finch.

Thoughts anyone?

Comfortable Win, all round good team performance with some great individual performances, no tries conceded and no injuries. Too much?

The 3 things I would like are...
Hock to show he has matured as a player,
For someone like Mellor to show they can help out the play makers, and
Goulding to be rock solid.
Hope that's not too much to ask.

None of this pre season friendly malarky bothers me in the slightest, after Leeds having a good 6 weeks at the back end of last year as long as we make the Playoffs and then hit form that's all that counts.

Can't really read too much into these sort of games,it's
so close to the start of the season that players probably
don't want to try too hard in case they get injured.

I'm pretty sure that once things get under way we will see a difference, although it may take a week or two
for the new players to blend in.

Also what do people think about Gelling getting fined for
missing two training sessions?Just a breakdown in communication?..,or should we be slightly worried
Personally I think it's the former........over to you.

As i didnt go to the match on Wednesday and have heard a number of different opinions off people on how we played (and how the ground looks weird with one big stand)

Did everybody get what they wanted from the match?

Probably more questions than answers as I walked away from the ground but I'll reserve judgement until after the castelford match.

Looking forward to the 5ht Feb in any case!

Def - all questions asnwered - we look solid adn we recover and scrabble quickely.

Attack - structure still needs sorting out. coming out of our own half there was lots of one out rugby. when we did give it some air we looked good. Kicking game in their half was not brillant. Sam kicked well from his own half but never really looked for touch. Lots of kicks over the full backs head turning them around.

All round - we look vernrable in the last ten mins of each half. i think we over commit in the first 20 mins resulting in a fatigue team in the last 10.

Until after the Castleford game? Nothing like giving yourself a few games!

A week today the kids will be back in the routine of surrendering the TV remote control at 19:30 for the Sky Game, unless of course i am at the match.

God ive missed Rugby League!
