I thought it was a very nice touch from Steven Gerrard in the interview after the game at Wembley
Of his cousin missing the penalty for Cardiff, Gerrard said, "He'll be down but I'll be there for him, and his family will all be behind him".
Good to see that the result was just "part of the game", and he did "feel" for his cousin.
Mind you, so did I, so sad to see him at the end
Also, nice to hear that Gerrard was the first Liverpool player to go over and console his cousin, nice touch all round I think.

Probably yes ancientnloyal I would, but sometimes in football you don't get that sort of sportsman ship going on I don't think, or not enough of it goes on in my opinion.
Re: Nice Sentiments I Thought From Soccer Cup Final Today!
Sportsmanship is always welcome but Liverpool, with King Kenny leading the way have been sadly lacking of late. The question is, however nice the gesture appeared, would Gerrard have gone over to console any other Cardiff player who missed a penalty??? Doubtful.

At the risk of being slated I think that Gerrard would have gone over to any Cardiff player who had missed a penalty.
He admitted in his interview that Cardiff played superb.

He thought he would have to show his nice side being the new England captain.
The FA seem to work the same as the RFL.
