Re: Simmons sacked
If you read the headline it says "Simmons sacked?" Meaning it is asking the question not stating (as of yet) a fact.
Should have been posted in their rumour mill until facts are corroborated

Re: Simmons sacked
Just been confirmed on Sky Sports News.
“Usually the fans that abuse players like Sam have never done anything of any note themselves. They’re nobodies, whose greatest claim to fame is abusing someone who has, and these so-called ‘Eddie the Experts’ pretend to their mates that they have."

Royce Simmons steps down as St Helens head coach
St Helens head coach Royce Simmons has left Langtree Park after the side's worst run of results in 23 years.
The 51-year-old, who took over in 2011, saw Saints lose a fourth successive game on Saturday, at Bradford, to leave them ninth in the Super League table.
The Australian will be temporarily replaced by head of high performance Mike Rush and Keiron Cunningham.
Saints chairman Eamonn McManus said: "Force of circumstance has reconstituted change."
He added: "Our season has got off to a difficult start and it is best to make change sooner rather than later. We have every faith in Mike Rush and Keiron Cunningham. They each know the club inside out and have all the experience together to take us forward.
"I would like to go on record to pay genuine tribute to Royce Simmons. He is a fantastic person, and of absolute character and integrity, who has given everything to the club."
Former hooker Simmons had signed a two-year deal on his arrival at Saints, taking over from Mick Potter who moved to Bradford.
In his first season, the former Australia international guided the side to a Challenge Cup semi-final - which they lost to Wigan, and a third-placed finish in the 2011 Super League season.
St Helens went on to reach the Grand Final but lost out 32-16 to Leeds - who they face again this Sunday at Langtree Park.

Anyone can support a team when it is winning, that takes no courage.
But to stand behind a team, to defend a team when it is down and really needs you,
that takes a lot of courage. #18thMan

Re: Simmons sacked
As much as I feel sorry for what has happened to him, I am pleased that he has been relieved of the horrible situation he was in. Seeing him at half time on Friday and again after the match, he seemed a broken man. Had he carried on much longer, it would have been another Shaun McRae situation.
I wish him well for the future.

Re: Simmons sacked
maybe if he looked for the positives in the match, instead of just having a go at the ref every week and asking if they have something against him.
