How the hell can this be fair ?

Lauaki gets a two game ban for a dangerous tackle no real intent to use fore arm just a poor tackle. Then that prat Westwood runs a good 20 meters and deliberatley throws and connects with a punch to the head of a Wigan player, tottally pre meditated and he only gets a one game ban. Maybe if he had knocked his head off he would have been let off all together

I think they were two different incidents. Leeky lifted the legs of an opponent above the vertical later on. He was put on report twice. He had no case to answer for the "elbow"

Apparently it was 'deemed' his elbow hit the upper chest first before almost knocking his head off!

thought he got away lightly with a 2 match ban, I'm sure had it been the other way around we would be baying for blood!

The panel has done Wane's job for him.
He deserved to be dropped for his performance last week and Wane would be daft enough to play him in an even higher pressure game v Saints. God knows how Lauaki would react in that game if it was a close game.

I still think 1 match for Westwood is getting off light. He's not exactly the cleanest player in the league, and I've seen plenty of players sent off for running in. I know this is kinda off topic, but this is where the "on report" system falls down. It allows refs to avoid making a difficult decision. All matches get reviewed after the event anyway, so you would hope anything the Ref misses, would get picked up by that, so why give the Ref the option to put it on report?
Dangerous plays like this, are creeping into the game and IMO are happening far too often now, and I include Wigan players in that. If the officials were to start penalising the the players on the pitch by the way of a red card, the advantage would go to the team who the foul was committed against, and could cost the offending team games. I know there would be those who say red and yellow cards can spoil the game, but I don't think you would have to do it for long before the coaches got wise and sorted players out. Not saying anything that hasn't been said before a hundred times, but it does annoy me.
Also, slightly back on topic, does the rule still exist that Refs can't yellow card someone for a high tackle, it has to be either just a penalty or a red card (and obviously a penalty)? If Refs were allowed to yellow card players for high tackles that maybe weren't severe enough to warrent a red, but also more than just a penalty, maybe that would help too, as again it could potetially swing the game.

Said this for ages Harry. A red card penalises the offending team by reducing them to 12 men. On Report doesn't!

I think the "On Report" rule is one rule all fans would like to be done away with.
